It was recently reported that in Utah, individuals with Concealed Firearm Permits get a background check every night to make sure they are law-abiding citizens.
Maybe we should start doing nightly background checks on automobile drivers, just like those done on concealed firearms permit holders.
Since it has worked so well for those concealed firearms permit holders in making sure they are among the most safe and law-abiding citizens, it should be done for automobile drivers.
As automobile drivers kill far more people every year than those law-abiding citizens with concealed firearm permits who believe in the right to defend the lives of themselves and their families, these background checks should go far in decreasing the amount of highway deaths.
